Goal 2: Enhance Assessment Strategies
Being the named Academic Coordinator at DMC, I have been responsible for much of the behind the scenes work related to writing, analyzing and implementing campus-wide and system-wide assessments.
I completed the CAF for both fall and spring semester after
ongoing collaboration with DMC Math 1 team leader and other academic coordinators from other
campuses to ensure consistency across the system. I analyzed instructor feedback to inform recommendations for
further improvements and enhancements to the course.
Additionally, I led several peer-discussion groups during PD days in January and March to generate ideas and best-practice recommendations for actions and improvements to the course outline and assessment strategies. I consistently provided analysis, moderation, and verification of assessments throughout the two semesters.
Finally, I led a team of three other academic coordinators tasked with writing, moderating, and verifying all M020 assessments for use across the system. We regularly liaised via zoom and email to produce well-balanced exams at the appropriate difficulty level to ensure for a robust course with the highest level of success and alignment to course outcomes.
